I’ve read all of my free articles this month so I couldn’t get to and highlight what I actually wanted to respond to which is this sentence: “The term “bed wench” refers to an enslaved Black woman who served the sole purpose of having sex with her White plantation owner.”

These women didn’t “have sex" with the men that enslaved them, they were raped. They were owned by someone else and therefore, could not give consent.
