Daffy Duck is Black

Third up, Daffy Duck. In "Looney Tunes: Back in Action," Daffy explains that he "works tirelessly without achieving what Bugs (Bunny) does without even trying." Oh, you work incredibly hard for little to no reward? If that’s not the story of a Black person’s life, I don’t know what is. Because of the constant threats against his life during duck hunting season, in 1997, Daffy decided to run for president to outlaw it. All you have to do is look at Stacey Abrams, Shirley Chisholm and countless others to see how often we as Black people have used political engagement as a way to fight against oppression. And finally and most importantly, Daffy Duck is the ONLY character in the Warner Bros. universe to be SHOT COUNTLESS TIMES BY A WHITE MAN.
